Batu Lanchang Hindu Cemetery (31 May 2012)
Batu Lanchang Hindu Cemetery (GPS: 5.39858, 100.30151) is the biggest cemetery for Hindus in Penang. It is located off
Batu Lanchang Lane, just behind
Island Park. Within the cemetery are Hindu graves which look like small, colourful shrines.
The Batu Lanchang Hindu Cemetery is managed by the Hindu Endowment Board. The board charges RM550 for gas cremation, RM450 for wood cremation and RM300 for burial at the cemetery. After ten years, there is a renewal fee of RM5000.
