Real Estate Review: BayStar Condominium, Queensbay, Bayan Lepas, Penang

BayStar (GPS: 5.33467, 100.30802) is a condominium in the Queensbay area of Bayan Lepas. It is located right across from Queensbay Mall. BayStar comprises two 11-storey blocks with a total of 160 units. Each unit has a size ranging from 1,562 to 2,491 sqft. All units are corner units in a semi-detached layout, affording great views of either the sea or the mall.

The proximity of Queensbay Mall is a definite plus point for BayStar. Other conveniences such as restaurants and banks are also close by. On the negative side, it is built on reclaimed land, which is not favoured by many. Furthermore, the only access roads connect to the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway, which is prone to traffic jams.

Traffic situation at BayStar Condominium

Access to Queensbay is through the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway and Jalan Aziz Ibrahim, which connects to the Sungai Nibong junction at the Express Bus Terminal. Both the expressway and Jalan Aziz Ibrahim experience heavy traffic especially during rush hour, Friday evenings and Saturday evenings. When these two are jammed, you are cut off from the rest of Penang - but at least you can go shopping at Queensbay Mall.

About this website

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.

While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
