Bertam, Seberang Perai (22 July 2015)
Bertam (GPS: 5.51758, 100.44359) is a township in Kepala Batas, Seberang Perai, Penang. It is located to the west of Kepala Batas town centre. The area has been earmarked for development over, and since at least 2010, has seen various amenities being added. The land that is presently the township was once a plantation land called Bertam Estate.
Bertam proper is located roughly on the east side of the North-South Expressway, which splits Kepala Batas into two parts, with Bertam to the east and Kepala Batas proper to the west. Some amenities on the west side are also called Bertam, among them Kompleks Sukan MBSP Bertam and Stadium Mini Bertam, even though they are also within Kepala Batas.
