Jalan Boundary, Ayer Itam, Penang (18 May 2013)
Jalan Boundary, formerly known as Boundary Road, is the main road in the Rifle Range neighbourhood of Air Itam, Penang. It forms a loop with Jalan Padang Tembak and connects with Air Itam Main Road on the other end. The road is officially translated as Jalan Boundary, although some maps also shows it as Jalan Sempadan.
Jalan Boundary demarcates the city limits of George Town from the central part of Penang Island during the colonial period. Since then, the urban sprawl of George Town has spread to engulf much of Air Itam, leaving Jalan Boundary a remnant of the past boundary.
