Belalong Rainforest Experience is an ecological tour of the Ulu Temburong National Park that is provided by the Kuala Belalong Field Studies Centre. The centre was set up in 1991 and established its reputation when it was used as the headquarters of the Universiti Brunei Darussalam-Royal Geographical Society expedition, when 50 scientists from eight countries came to learn about the ecology of the forest.
Today, the Kuala Belalong Field Studies Centre is open to visitors, giving them an opportunity to experience the natural environment of the
Brunei rainforest, enhance their understanding of rainforest ecology, and get to appreciate proper methods of rainforest conservation.
There are five wooden building linked by walkways at the centre, with two blocks capable of housing up to 35 visitors. It also includes a laboratory, a dining hall, a kitchen and a meeting hall. The centre receives filtered water, electricity powered by a diesel generator, and a sewerage system.
