Bukit Gedung Food Court (15 September 2012)

Bukit Gedung Food Court (GPS: 5.31598, 100.2835), or Kompleks Bukit Gedung, is a newly opened (as of Sept 2012) food court in Penang. Located in Bukit Gedung, Bayan Baru, the food court built at a cost of RM1.5 million by the Penang Island Municipal Council (MPPP) was officiated by Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng on 14 September, 2012.

The Bukit Gedung Food Court has 45 hawker stalls of which 37 are food stalls and the remainer beverage stalls. The new food court is noted for its high standard - though it will take time to see whether this can be maintained. The wash basins appear to be of upscale hotel standard.
