First Burger King outlet in Penang (6 October 2010)

The first Burger King in Penang opened on 30 September, 2010, at Promenade 28, Bandar Sri Pinang. The outlet occupies the corner unit of the three-storey Promenade 28, a new retail row at Jelutong Promenade. It faces the South Channel, with excellent views of the sea and the Penang Bridge.

As part of the opening, Burger King did a nation-wide promotion of the Whopper burger for only RM1.00, when purchased with a drink. The offer is limited only to one day, 6 October, and each patron is allowed to buy up to three Whoppers.

How to reach Burger King at Promenade 28

From the Jelutong-Sungai Pinang Intersection, take Jalan Sungai Pinang seaward until the end, passing the Jelutong Expressway. When you reach the coastal T-junction, turn left to Lebuh Sungai Pinang 5. Continue until the first T-junction to your left (that's Lebuh Sungai Pinang 6), and you will see Burger King, the first outlet in the row which is Promenade 28.

The Google Map below (at time of creating) is not sufficiently updated. Nevertheless it gives you an idea of the location.
