Burmah Crescent, George Town, Penang (29 December 2018)
Lengkok Burma
, formerly
Burmah Crescent, is a minor road in
George Town. This curving road links
Burmah Road to
Codrington Avenue. It also forms junctions with
Solok Peirce,
Jalan Peirce,
Tingkat Burma,
Jalan Raja Gopal and
Lorong Thaton.
Burmah Crescent has one of the few pockets of undeveloped land in George Town. The area is called Lau1 heok3 Hnui2, meaning "wild pepper leaf plantation" in
Penang Hokkien. You can even find here a few kampong houses, something astonishing as Burmah Crescent is close to the stately neighbourhood of Codrington Avenue.
