Cambodia. It is lcoated near the mouth of the Kah Bpow River which empties into the Gulf of Thailand. Koh Kong is just about 10 km from the border with Thailand. It has a population of around 30,000 people (2012 estimate).
The town of Koh Kong is located to the south of the Cardamom Mountains. The Kah Bpow river flows from the Cardamoms and right through the town. Due to the rural nature of the town, it is a center for an illicit trade in wildlife. Many restaurants here also serve exotic meats.
