Cantonese Methodist Church (1 August 2008)


The Cantonese Methodist Church (GPS: 5.42084, 100.31466) is a church located at Macalister Road, next to the YMCA Penang. It houses the Cantonese-speaking congregation of the Methodist assembly. The church building was erected in 1967 and was officially opened by Bishop R.F. Lundry on 30 September 1967. The aim of the Cantonese Methodist Church was to serve the Cantonese-speaking community in Penang and to introduce Christianity to them.

Sunday services are held at the Cantonese Methodist Church at 8:30 am (Mandarin), 10:15 am (adults), 11:00 am (Mandarin, children). Other services are also available on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
