Our Homemade Char SioOur Homemade Char Sio (5 November 2016)

Char Sio is the Chinese Barbecued Meat. Although we can buy char sio from the shops - and when we have no time to make it ourselves, we certainly do that - it's a lot of fun to make our own. Then we can eat to our hearts' content, and it only costs a fraction of store-bought char sio.

Char Sio is very easy to make. My wife simply marinated the pork belly in Lee Kum Kee Hoisin Sauce and Char Sio Sauce since last night. Then she grill the meat in the oven, and voilà, the Char Sio is done. We often eat our Char Sio with the Char Moy (Pan Fried Porridge) which my wife cooks.
