Jalan Cheah Choo Yew (formerly Cheah Choo Yew Road), is an obscure minor road off Patani Road in George Town. Located in a rather scruffy part of town, it forms the shape of the letter "J" and intersects with Singgora Lane. The road was laid over part of the land that was formerly Kampung Makam. Today the villazge is still around, located on the western edge of Cheah Choo Yew Road.

Cheah Choo Yew, J.P., was the first president of Seh Tek Tong Cheah Kongsi¹. Both his father Cheah Yeam and mother Ong Sin Neoh played significant roles in the founding of the kongsi.
