Entrance arch, Cheah Sek Tong Private Cemetery (9 June 2012)
Cheah Sek Tong Private Cemetery (GPS: 5.43758, 100.29797) is the cemetery of the Cheah clan in Mount Erskine. It is located deep in beyond the Mount Erskine Hokkien Cemetery. The land was acquired in 1901.
The Cheah Sek Tong Private cemetery occupies the foot of the hill, with a stream running through it. Two cemetery gateways were erected, one heading west and another heading south. Between them, on a slope facing the stream is the funerary shrine to Tua Pek Kong. In addition, a funerary pavilion was also erected. It houses a marble stelae on which the rules of the cemetery were inscribed. The pavilion has intricate cast-iron filigree supporting the ceiling beams.
