Yong Ling Museum is a museum in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. It is built to showcase Yong Ling, the Tomb of Wang Jian, the self-appointed Emperor of Sichuan.
Emperor Wang Jian fought his way to become the ruler between AD 907 and 918. His tomb includes a 20-foot stone platform which is the base for his wooden sarcophagus, which is decorated with twenty-two female figures.
The statue of Emperor Wang Jian showed him to be a cultured man of modest statue. His self-indulgent son lost the empire to the Late Tang Dynasty in AD 925.
How to reach Yong Ling Museum
Take bus 42, 48 or 54. The museum is open daily from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Admission fee is ¥30.00.
