Tiger Lake (Simplified/Traditional Chinese: 老虎海; Pinyin: Lǎohǔ Hǎi) is a lake in Jiuzhaigou Valley that continues from Rhinoceros Lake, in a series of ribbon lakes that together form the greater Shuzheng Lake. These lakes were carved by glacier in the Jiuzhaigou Valley. Situated slightly lower than Rhinoceros Lake, Tiger Lake has an elevation of 2298 meters, and is located directly above Shuzheng Waterfall.
The distance from Rhinoceros Lake to Shu Zheng Falls is sufficiently short for visitors to visit these three related sights on foot. How does the Tiger Lake get its name? The inverted image of the mountains on the lake looks like the tiger's stripes, the Shuzheng waterfall is like the tiger's head, while the sound of the waterfall is like the tiger's roar.

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
