SPACES (GPS: 5.41859, 100.34328) is a co-working space on Beach Street in George Town, Penang. It occupies the ground and mezzanine floors of the building formerly known as the Standard Chartered Bank Building.

SPACES is the premium brand of International Workplace Group plc (IWG), a multinational serviced office space provider. It satisfies the growing need for serviced office space from start-up businesses and the digital community. SPACES Beach Street offers 1508 square meters of space, with an outsourced café on the ground floor. Tenants may occupy co-working office spaces of various sizes, ranging from dedicated workstations in communal environments to self-contained office suites with executive cubicles.

The renovations carried out on the former Standard Chartered Building is sympathetic to its original architectural elements. This includes the rustication on the front façade with its prominent barrel vaults, or arches which are visible even from the working space inside. The interior stucco is restored and preserved, as are the bank safety vaults, which are now readapted as serviced office suites.

The opening of SPACES Beach Street was held on 20 November, 2019, and was officiated by the Chief Minister of Penang, the right honourable Chow Kon Yeow, with popular newscaster Owen Yap being the master of ceremony.

SPACES Beach Street is open daily from 8:30am in the morning until 6:00pm in the evening. Tenants are allowed to occupy their serviced offices outside the working hours, albeit without front desk support.

SPACES Beach Street is the first outlet of this brand in Penang, and only the second in Malaysia, after the first one opened at Platinum Sentral in Kuala Lumpur in November, and another at Menara Prestige, to open in December.
