1-Sky (GPS: 5.3292, 100.28469) is a condominium within The One Penang Cyber City in Bayan Baru, Penang. It comprises two 26-storey blocks which were built on 99-year leasehold land and completed at the beginning of 2013.

There is a total of 250 condominium units at 1-Sky. Each unit has a built-up area of between 1,450 sqft to 1,650 sqft and comes in three main configurations namely Type A, Type B and Type C. Type A (1,600 sqft) are three-bedroom three-bathroom units, and Type B (1,450 sqft) are three-bedroom two-bathroom units while Type C (1,650 sqft) are four-bedroom three-bathroom units. As the two blocks are located next to 1-World Condominium, they face north, east and west, but not south.

My opinion of 1-Sky

1-Sky's location puts it in the heart of things as far as Bayan Baru goes. You are within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Sunshine Square supermarket and department store is also nearby (you can walk there from 1-Sky if you wish). The roads surrounding 1-Sky tend to be congested although parking has improved since the developer Ideal created an open-air car park in the area.

1-Sky is leasehold. This may be a concern for some. On the other hand, the leasehold status makes the selling price more attractive. As it is, the property still has plenty more years to its lease.

Facilities at 1-Sky

Facilities include 24-hour security, parking lot, swimming pool, wading pool, gymnasium, barbecue area, children's playground and landscaping, among others.

Location of 1-Sky

1-Sky is 13.3 km to Komtar, 6.8 km to the Penang Bridge, 5.9 km to the Second Penang Bridge and 5.2 km to the Penang International Airport via Jalan Tun Dr Awang.

The nearest bus stop, on Jalan Tun Dr Awang, is served by Rapid Penang bus 301, 302, 303, 304, 305, 307, 308, 309 and 401E.

Traffic situation at 1-Sky

1-Sky can be accessed via Jalan Tun Dr Awang and Jalan Mahsuri. Both roads experience heavy traffic particularly during rush hour.
