Setia V Residences (GPS: 5.43229, 100.31419) is a luxury condominium in Pulau Tikus, George Town. It will occupy the 2.23-acre area that was formerly Tenby International School until September 2011.

Setia V Residences comprises two residential tower blocks, called Tower A and B. At 48 storeys and 43 storeys, there are presently the tallest residential buildings under construction or plan in Penang. As of February 2018, Tower A, at 190.8 meters, is the second tallest building in Penang after the Komtar Tower¹. The towers stand on an eleven-storey service podium. The development will engulf but keep intact two historic buildings on site. These will be incorporated into the design.

There are 3 lifts in Tower B. The built up area of the units is 1,450 sqft for Type B1, 1,376 sqft for Type B2, 1,435 sqft for Tye B2G (units with garden terrace), 1,643 sqft for Type B3, 1,739 sqft for Type B3G (units with garden terrace) and 1,869 sqft for Type B4.

Traffic situation at Setia V Residences

The main artery roads in the Pulau Tikus area are Gurney Drive and Kelawei Road. These are already overburdened with traffic, especially during the evening rush hours and on weekends, and are regularly jammed. Unless the authorities widen these two roads, congestion in the area is expected to worsen.

Public Transport at Setia V Residences

If you are staying here, you are unlikely to use public transport. But just in case, you can tell your maid that the bus stop at Kelawei Road is served by Rapid Penang 103.
