David ST Loh is an internationally published photographer who has been in the media industry for almost 30 years, with 21 years spent first as a photojournalist and
subsequently as an editor at the award-winning photographic department of the Reuters Ltd news agency.
He left Reuters in 2016 as Editor-in-Charge (EIC), Global Pictures Desk and is now working for the news portal, The Malaysian Insight. Previously based in Kuala Lumpur, London and Singapore for Reuters, David has had his images gracing many books and global newspapers,
including the New York Times, Washington Post, FT, UK Times and others.
David was part of the judging panel for the China International Press Photo
2016. He held a successful solo homecoming exhibition of aerial photographs of
Penang in the "Over Penang" exhibition in 2018 during the George Town
Festival.
A Penangite who left the island 30 years ago, David has now returned with a renewed perspective of this island. Now available for commission, he specializes in aerial, architecture, interior, events, travel and underwater photography services. He also holds
photography workshops for amateur and professional photographers.
