Desa Mayang Market (GPS: 5.31891, 100.27837), housed in the Kompleks Makanan & Pasar Desa Mayang, is the main market for Bukit Gedung, in Bayan Baru, Penang.

Located along Persiaran Mayang Pasir, Desa Mayang serves the community of Bukit Gedung, and is second in size to the Bayan Baru Market, which it shares a similar architectural style. The market also houses a food centre where hawkers sell a variety of hawker dishes.

Getting there

There isn't actually a bus that goes right up to the market. The nearest bus stop is on Persiaran Mayang Pasir, served by Rapid Penang bus 303, 304, 307 and 309.
