On the occasion of Chinese New Year 2018, DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang offers a banquet lunch and dinner at its Makan Kitchen dining outlet, as well as any their function rooms. The authentic Chinese cuisine packages start from RM1188 nett per table of 10 diners. Reunion Brunch is available on 16-18 February and 24-25 February at 12:30pm to 3:00pm at RM98 nett. Reunion dinner 15-17 February at 6:30pm to 10:30pm at RM138nett.

Review of DoubleTree's CNY Food Promotion

It is the first time that the newly opened DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang is doing a Chinese New Year promotion. On that occasion, the hotel invited member of various social media to help give their promotion a boost in exposure. My wife and I were pleased to be invited to the event.

Upon our arrival, we met up with our blogger friends and we warmly greeted by Linda Giebing, whom we met the first time on the opening day of the hotel. It was great to meet her again. I am pleased to meet Mr Joyi Ng, the friendly Business Development Manager, with whom I have worked closely to give the hotel coverage on my channels. And in addition, I also get to meet one of the trainees from Germany, Miss Teresa Brinckmann.

We were all seated at a row of tables lined to form a long row. There were both familiar and unfamiliar social media players that the hotel's Kuala Lumpur PR agency has managed to dig up.

The dishes we were trying out that evening came from their Reunion Dinner menu, which reads as follows:

We started the evening by tossing the Yee Sang. After that is done, we returned to our seats.
