Eastin Hotel Penang Ramadhan Buffet Review
My wife and I had a delightful time enjoying all the various dishes whipped up by Eastin's culinary team at their Ramadhan Buffet food review. There is a lot to it, which the
pièce de résistance being the Kambing Golek Beratur Panjang and the Sup Gearbox.
The range of food is astonishing. We started our meal with fruits, and then plunged into the savoury dishes. There's so much to eat, among them, the "Memang Pedas" Oatmeal Prawn, the Ayam Masak Merah, which is spicy and tasty, the Ikan Tenggiri Gulai Kampung, the Pulut & Lemang, Gulai Daging Kawah, Kawah Pedas Kambing, Gulai Daging Tongkat Ali and Gulai Sotong.
And then, there's rojak, or as it is called here, Rojak Mambo. I made my own rojak, mixing together my own selection of fruits, put a couple dollops of rojak sauce, mix them well,
et voilà, my own Rojak Mambo!
In addition to all the Malay village dishes, there is also a big array of international cuisine, ranging from sushi and sashimi to breads, salads, all sorts of
kerabu, and local fare such as laksa and curry mee. Also available is the Lamb Masala Thosai, Chicken Tandoori, to be taken with toasted Naan Bread, and Bombay Biryani.
When we were done with the savoury stuff, we headed for the desserts. And again we were spoilt for choice. In addition to the various cakes and puddings, Eastin Hotel Penang has prepared all sorts of kuih-muih.
We really enjoyed our meal at Eastin Hotel Penang, and we are most thankful to the hotel for giving us the chance to sample it all.
