Park Office of the Penang National Park at the End of the World in Teluk Bahang (19 May 2012)

The
End of the World is a spot in
Teluk Bahang. It is located facing the sea and is the name adopted by a
seafood restaurant there.
The End of the World is not the westernmost part of Penang Island, because the "World" in the context of the townspeople of Penang, is where most of them live. This spans the urban area that starts in Batu Maung - where you can also find the
Beginning of the World - and ends in Teluk Bahang.
The End of the World is also the beginning of the trail into the
Penang National Park, to locations such as
Muka Head,
Teluk Kampi,
Teluk Duyung and
Pantai Kerachut. Today the site is occupied by the park office of the Penang National Park.
How to reach the End of the World
Take
Rapid Penang Bus
101 to the very end of
Jalan Hassan Abas. Walk to the bay with the Penang National Park on your left. The spot off the shore is the End of the World. Jutting out into the sea is the
Teluk Bahang Jetty.
