Penang National Park officePark Office of the Penang National Park at the End of the World in Teluk Bahang (19 May 2012)

The End of the World is a spot in Teluk Bahang. It is located facing the sea and is the name adopted by a seafood restaurant there.

The End of the World is not the westernmost part of Penang Island, because the "World" in the context of the townspeople of Penang, is where most of them live. This spans the urban area that starts in Batu Maung - where you can also find the Beginning of the World - and ends in Teluk Bahang.

The End of the World is also the beginning of the trail into the Penang National Park, to locations such as Muka Head, Teluk Kampi, Teluk Duyung and Pantai Kerachut. Today the site is occupied by the park office of the Penang National Park.

How to reach the End of the World

Take Rapid Penang Bus 101 to the very end of Jalan Hassan Abas. Walk to the bay with the Penang National Park on your left. The spot off the shore is the End of the World. Jutting out into the sea is the Teluk Bahang Jetty.

About this website

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.

While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
