Getreidegasse is a long, narrow street that is the main shopping street in the
Old Town of Salzburg, Austria. This busy street has shops with old-style sign describing what they sell or services they offer. Many of the shops have today been taken over by international brand names. Getreidegasse is a good place to go window shopping in Salzburg.
The house where Mozart was born is located at No. 9 Getreidegasse.
One of the most endearing sights at Getreidegasse is the lady who sells puppets. She has been doing it since 1987 and can be found along the street in the summer months.
