Haus der Natur is the Museum of Natural History of Salzburg, Austria. It is located at Museumplatz 5, within the World Heritage Site in the Old Town. The site was formerly a nunnery of the Ursuline Sisters. The Haus der Natur is spread over five levels and has over 90 rooms, displaying a huge variety of wildlife.
The different rooms attempt to simulate the natural surroundings as closely as possible. The two main highlights are the aquarium and the reptile sections.
The aquarium comprises 42 display tanks showcasing marine life from all over the world. Visitors can view the daily feeding of octopus, piranhas and archer fish, among others.
The Haus of Natur's Reptile House is said to be one of the best in Europe. It allows visitors to view reptiles up close. There are in total 33 terraria with all forms of reptiles, from cobra and green mamba to gila monsters.
In addition to the live animals, there are also exhibits of dinosaurs, cave men, the human body, and more.

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
