The Residenz, also called Alte Residenz, is the seat of the Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg, Austria. It is located at Residenzplatz, in the centre of the Old Town of Salzburg, a World Heritage Site.

The Archbishop of Salzburg was both the religious as well as secular ruler of the whole province. This lavish residence was erected by Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau. His successors extending the building. It became the seat of the administration following secularization. Today part of the Residenz houses govenment departments and university offices, while the upper storey is a gallery. The decor was the work of prominent artists of the Baroque era such as Johann Michael Rottmayr and Martino Altomonte.

On the grounds of the Residenz is a lovely fountain. It depicts Tritons with horses sprouting water. Across the square is the Neue Residenz, or new residence, which was the temporary residence of the bishop when the Residenz was being renovated. Today the Neue Residenz houses the Salzburg Museum.
