The banks of the Seine in Paris is a World Heritage Site of France. Regarded as one of the most beautiful promenades in the world, the banks of the Seine afford splendid views of the surrounding attractions including the Eiffel Tower, the Cathedral of Notre-Dame and the Place de la Concorde. The wide squares and boulevards along the banks have inspired late 19th and 20th town planning all over the world.
