Opéra is a Paris quarter encompassing the Opéra Garnier. It is a major shopping and banking precinct. Some of the biggest shopping malls in Paris are located here, among them the Galeries Lafayette and Printemps. Financial institutions located in the Opéra quarter include Crédit Lyonnais, BNP and American Express. The main boulevard in this area is the avenue de l'Opéra.
