Palais de Tokyo is a contemporary art museum in Paris. It is housed in the building of the same name, the Palais de Tokyo, which was built in 1937, in the 16th Arrondissement of Paris.
The Palais de Tokyo has been used to house several other museums before this. Among them were Le Musée d'Art et d'Essai from 1977 to 1986, the FEMIS, le Centre National de la Photographie, and in 1986 the Palais de Cinema. It became the present museum in January 2002.
How to reach Palais de Tokyo
Take the M19 subway train to the Iéna Métro station. Walk east along Avenue du Président Wilson, and you will see Palais de Tokyo on your right.
