Bad Reichenhall is a spa town in the district of Berchtesgadener Land, on the southeastern corner of Bavaria, Germany. It covers 39.44 sq km (15.23 sq mi) and has a population of around 18,000 people (2012 estimate). The town is close to the border between Germany and Austria, with the nearest major city being Salzburg.
Human habitation in the Bad Reichenhall area has been traced back to the Glockenbecher Culture, a Bronze Age culture which existed in the area around 2000 BC.

From the city of Salzburg, take the Autobahn A10 heading south to continue on Highway 8 then continue on Route 21 heading southwest till Bad Reichenhall.
