Bad Tölz is a town in Bavaria, on the southern part of Germany. It is located within the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, in the administrative region of Upper Bavaria.

The town is on the banks of the Isar River, about 670 m (2,159 ft) above sea level. Today Bad Tölz is well known for its spas. Another local interest of the town is its position as a pilgrimage site to St Leonard of Noblac, and a festival is held here on his feast day, 6 November.

Archaeologists have found evidence of human presence in the Bad Tölz area going back to the Ice Age. The name Tölz first came into use in the 12th century. It only came to be called Bad Tölz in 1899, in recognition of the natural springs in the area.
