Gotha is a town in the state of Thuringia, Germany. It covers 70 sq km (27 sq mi) and has a population of 46,000 people (2012 estimate). The town dates back to the 8th century, where it appeared on a document bearing Charlemagne's seal.
After the Second World War, Gotha was part of East Germany until German reunification.
How to go to Gotha
Gotha is located to the west of Erfurt and can be reached from there on Highway 7.
