Museuminsel (Museum Island), Berlin is an island in the Spree River that is inscribed as a World Heritage Site. It got its name because it is the site of five world-famous museums sited there. The five museums are Altes Museum (1830), Neues Museum (1859), Alte Nationalgalerie (1876), Bode Museum (1904) and Pergamon Museum (1930).
