Achilleio (Αχίλλειο), Greece

Achilleio (Greek: Αχίλλειο) is a former municipality on the island of Corfu in the Ionian Islands. It covers 48.7 sq km (19 sq mi) and has a population of 10,300 people (2012 estimate). It is today part ofthe municipality of Corfu.

The largest town within Achilleio is Kynopiástai, which has a population approaching 1,300 people. Other towns within Achilleio include Gastoúri, Benítes, Káto, Garoúna and Kastellánoi.

Achilleio is located to the south of Corfu. It can be reach from Corfu Town by either bus or taxi.
