The
Central Macedonia Periphery (Κεντρική Μακεδονία) is one of the thirteen administrative regions of Greece. It covers 18,811 sq km (7,263 sq mi) in the central region of Macedonia, it is the biggest periphery of Greece.
Mount Athos, which is geographically part of central Macedonia, is however not under the administration of this periphery, rather it is an autonomous self-governing state under Greece.
