Killarney is a beautiful Irish town in County Kerry, in southwestern Ireland. As gateway to the Killarney National Park, it wears a rather touristic feel, with businesses geared to support the stream of visitors.
Most visitors simply head towards Killarney National Park. But those who hang around will find a charming town with a number of well-preserved heritage sites. Killarney tends to get rather crowded in summer, so those intending to visit during that time should make their accommodation arrangements well in advance.
