Abano Terme is a town in the province of Padua in Veneto region, Italy. It covers 21 sq km (8 sq mi) and has a population of around 19,000 people (2012 estimate). Until 1930 it was known as Abano Bagni.

Abano Terme is renowned for its hot springs and mud baths. The hot springs of Abano Terme has been known since Roman times. An early description of it appeared in a letter by Theodoric the Great, the 5th century king of the Ostrogoths. When the Lombards invaded in the 6th century, the baths were destroyed. They were only rebuilt in the 12th century.
