Alassio is a beautiful coastal town in the province of Savona in
Liguria, Italy. It covers 17 sq km (7 sq mi) and has a population of 11,300 people (2012 estimate).
Alassio is on the Italian Riviera, namely the Riviera di Ponente. It has developed as a tourist destination drawing visitors there in both summer and winter. The town dates back to the 10th century. It developed around the Church of Santa Anna ai Monti.

The A10 is the main motorway. To reach Alassio, you need to exit the motorway at Albenga, if coming from the north/east, and at San Bartolomeo al Mare, if coming from the west, then continue on the coastal road (SP1, Via Aurelia) until you reach Alassio.
