Bardolino is a town in the province of Verona, in the region of
Veneto, in northern
Italy. It is 130 km west of
Venice and 25 km northwest of
Verona.
Bardolino covers 54.8 sq km (21.2 sq mi) and has a population approaching 7,000 people (2012 estimate). Its site has been inhabited since prehistoric times, though the present town dates only to the Middle Ages. Today it has quite a number of historic sights, many of which dating to the 12th century. The Church of San Zeno dates to the mid-9th century and still has traces of its original frescoes.
