Canazei is a small village in the province of Trentino, in the region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, in northern Italy. It covers 67.3 sq km (26 sq mi) and has a population of less than two thousand people (2012 estimate).

Canazei serves as the base for scaling the surrounding peaks including the Sella, Marmolada and Sassolungo groups. It also played host to a number of winter sports. The people of Canazei speak Ladin.

Canazei is one of those small villages off the beaten path. You reach it by taking the country road from Bolzano, passing Nova Levante and Vigo di Fassa.
