Correr Museum or
Museo Correr is a museum housed in the Napoleonic Wing at the western end of St Mark's Square. It is entered through a ceremonial stairway. The museum houses the extensive collection of Abbot Teodoro Correr which forms the nucleus of the museum.
The museum displays early statues by Antonio Canova (1757-1822). A whole floor is devoted to items from the history of the Venetian Republic, from maps and coins to items belonging to the doge.
On the second floor is the Museo del Risorgimento. It documents the history of Venice up to its integration into the Italian Republic in 1866.
