Verona is a city in the Veneto region of Italy. It has a population of about 265,000 (2011 estimate) within a metropolitan area of 715,000. The city is the provincial capital of Verona Province and is the second most populous municipality in the Veneto region.

Going to Verona

The Valerio Catullo Villafranca Airport (VRN), or simply called the Verona Airport, is located about 12 km from the city center. Arriving there, you can take a bus directly to the Verona Railway Station for €5.

Verona can also be reached by train from Milan in 1 hour and 22 minutes by EuroCity (fare: €17.50), Venice in 1 hour 10 minutes by EuroCity (fare €18.50), and even Munich, in 5 hours and 30 minutes by EuroCity.
