Volendam is a town in North Holland, in the Netherlands. Located in the municipality of Edam-Volendam, it has a population of about 22,000 people. The town traces its history to the 14th century, when it was established as a harbor for the nearby town of Edam.

By car
From Amsterdam, take the N247 highway to Edam-Volendam, then exit it to the N517 highway to reach Volendam.
By Bus
Take Bus 110, 112, 118 or 373 from Amsterdam.
