Guarda District is a district of Portugal. It is located in the central western part of the country. All except the municipality of Vila Nova de Foz Côa is in the Centro Region of the country. Guarda District is bordered by Bragança District to the north, Viseu District to the west, Coimbra District to the southwest, Castelo Branco District to the south and Spain to the east.
Guarda District covers 5,518 sq km and has a population of 174,000 (2011 estimate). The district capital is the city of Guarda. The district is composed of 14 municipalities and 336 civil parishes.
