Eton, Berkshire is a small town in
Berkshire, England. It is located on the north bank of the
River Thames from
Windsor, on the south. The two towns are linked by the Windsor Bridge.
Eton has a population of just about 5,000 people (2012 estimate). It is part of the unitary authority of Windsor and Maidenhead. Most people visit both Eton and Windsor together, as they are almost one and the same.
Visiting Eton, Berkshire
Going to Eton is almost similar to going to Windsor. There are trains to Windsor from London Waterloo station. Journey takes about an hour. If you are driving from London, take the M4 motorway heading west. Leave the motorway at Junction 6 for the A355 heading south. It continues as the A332. Follow signage to the Windsor car park or the Park and Ride car park. You can walk across the Windsor Bridge to arrive in Eton.
