Frinton-on-Sea is a seaside town in Tendring district, on the eastern part of
Essex, England. It has a population of 5,500 people (2012 estimate).
Frinton-on-Sea was just a collection of village houses and a church until the 19th century. It was developed by R Power Cooper, who planned a conservative community. The town was without a pub until recently, when the Lock and Barrell opened in 2000.
Frinton-on-Sea has two Anglican parish churches, the St Mary the Virgin and the St Mary Magdalene. There are also churches of other denominations including the Roman Catholic Church of the Sacred Heart, a Methodist Church, a hall of Christian Scientists and a convent.
Visiting Frinton-on-Sea
Take the A12 road till
Colchester, then continue on the A133 road heading east until it joins the B1033 road (Thorpe Road). Continue east on the B1033 road until you reach Frinton-on-Sea.
