Hedon is a small town in the district of Holderness, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Located approximately 8 km (5 mi) to the east of Hull, it has a population of just around 6,300 people (2012 estimate).

It does not appear in the Domesday Book of 1086, suggesting that it has been founded later, probably by the Normans. It received its first town charter in 1158 from King Henry II. It grew in the 12th and 13th centuries as a port town, but its role as port declined after the 13th century, as its location could not be reached by large ships.

Hedon was affected by a freak mini-tornado in August 2000, receiving national attention for the resulting flash floods and hailstones that hit the town.
