Amersham Station (GPS: 51.67427, -0.60762) is a railway station located outside Greater London, in
Buckinghamshire. It is in Travelcard Zone 9, and is the second most westerly station of the London Underground network.
Located 38.1 km (23.7 miles) from Charing Cross, the Amersham Tube Station serves as the terminus of the
Metropolitan Line of the London Underground. The penultimate station before Amersham is the
Chalfont & Latimer Tube Station.

In addition to the London Underground, Amersham Station also serves the Chiltern Railways of the National Rail, between the Great Missenden Railway Station and the Chalfont & Latimer Railway Station.
The Amersham Station first began operations on 1 September, 1892 for the Metropolitan Railway, the precursor of the Metropolitan Line. Between 1922 and 1937 it was known as the Amersham & Chesham Bois Station.
