Blackhorse Road Station (GPS: 51.58667, -0.0412) is a station of the London Underground in Walthamstow, in the
London Borough of Waltham Forest. The station spots a bas-relief of a black horse on its wall near the entrance. It is part of the Blackhorse Road Railway Station of the London Overground. The station is in Travelcard Zone 3.
Blackhorse Road Tube Station is served by the
Victoria Line between
Walthamstow Central Tube Station, the terminus, and
Tottenham Hale Tube Station, heading towards
Brixton. It is also served by the Gospel Oak to Barking Line of the London Overground between the Walthamstow Queen's Road Station (heading towards Barking) and South Tottenham Station (heading towards Gospel Oak).
The station started operations in 1894 for the Tottenham and Forest Gate Railway. It began serving the Victoria Line in 1968.
