Brent Cross Station (GPS: 51.57681, -0.21339) is a station of the London Underground in Brent Cross, in the
London Borough of Barnet. The station building is located on Highfield Avenue, next to the railway bridge going across the road. It is in Travelcard Zone 3. It is served by the Edgware branch of the
Northern Line between
Hendon Central Tube Station (heading towards
Edgware) and
Golders Green Tube Station (heading towards
Morden and
Kennington).
The station building was designed by Stanley Heaps. It began operations on 19 November 1923. It was originally known as Brent until 1976, when it was renamed Brent Cross, on the opening of the Brent Cross Shopping Centre.
